Tinder customer service was no help whatsoever, told me to check my mobile connection or try again later. I have been using Tinder for the last year and have met many girls through it from my college.

Investors be warned, this is a company that does NOT have its act together. I was on Tinder last year for only a week until I met this wonderful man. I think they are just in it for a bit of ego stroking!! This is a much better way to hookup than a bar where there are too many other distractions. If you are decent looking and can talk the talk you will not be disappointed.i tried Tinder for 3 months, it was probably the most wasted 3 months of 2015 :/ i think i did show interest in at least 1000 females, even the ones i normally would not, i know im not the best looking guy in the world but no matches at all for 3 months and over 1000 females liked, you can imagine the dissapointment i had when a friend of mine had tinder for 2 days and already had 3 matches, the funny part is every one i know does not at all understand how he ever got rid of his virginity, even the female friends don`t get it, i have also tried Badoo and at least i did get matches there but no one will ever respond to Messages, the one that did was from columbia saying she was from my country and she could not even speak my laguage and her English was worse then a swedish kid in kindergarden trying to speak Norwegian :/ so all in all don`t install Tinder it`s just not doing anything for you unless you are just bored and want to check out Girls you would never ever meet in real life...

You sign up with your Facebook account to ensure some level of identity verification (though your membership is not announced to your Facebook friends via your page, feed, etc.).

The app then matches you to other Tinder users in the area around you – whether you’re at home, at work, in a bar, or on a trip.

Many people view mobile dating apps like Tinder as nothing more than hook-up apps, because it’s free to use and there isn’t much of a filtering process outside of whether or not you like someone’s photos.

But plenty of women and men are both gravitating to this app, so its appeal is only growing.

“Mobile phones have become an extension of who we are,” he tells The Huffington Post.

“They are arguably the most intimate possession that we have.” Tinder offers a simple way to meet people online.

You can scroll through various matches if you’d like, touching the “X” for no or swiping left (meaning you’re not interested) and touching the heart on the right for yes, or swiping right.

Once you mutually approve of each other, you and your Tinder match can communicate.

Then you can see how far away they are from you at this moment (i.e.

2 miles or 10 miles), how long ago they were active on Tinder (i.e.

1 hour or 2 days ago), as well as an “about” section where people can leave a little information about themselves (or not much at all besides “hi”).
